Rotational Cycle Planning

A yearly cycle plan is prepared thematically on a monthly or weekly basis to enable each child to have rich and varied experiences at the pre-school.
Through their time here, children are able to re-visit experiences in order to reinforce understanding and learning.

Detailed plans are prepared on a weekly basis to make appropriate amendments, re-visit activities, assess children's weekly development and allow them to have a voice in the planning.

Throughout each theme, your child will receive opportunities to achieve the Early Learning Goals in all areas. Each child will have a professional foundation stage profile of assessment, which will be done in English and Turkish. This enables us to identify areas of learning to be addressed and developed.
Each child is assessed throughout the year to monitor progression and for us to adapt our planning to his/her specific needs.
Extra attention and careful planning is placed on children speaking English as a foreign language.

    Note:

  • Please see the thematic yearly plan in Preschool for further details.
  • A weekly plan of activities will be displayed within our pre-school for parents/carers to view.

What makes Play to Learn special and child friendly?

Every child has the right to be understood and provided with opportunities to develop according to his or her needs.
Every child has unique needs that have to be recognized.
Every child and adult in a diverse world deserves respect regardless of skin color, ability, culture, religion or visual differences.
Every child deserves to be in a positive inclusive, environment that fosters the love world cultures that reflect those of the children and of others in the world.
And, every parent should be respected as their children's first educators and be welcomed into a warm, friendly, respectful and open environment.

The dedication of the Play to Learn team is obvious as soon as you walk through the door and view our stimulating, colorful and creative environment. We recognize that each human is individual and has his/her own way of learning. Children learn with multi-sensory opportunities needing visual, audio and kinesthetic stimulation. Some of them learn more visually, some verbally and some with movement. Therefore, we offer and promote this multi-sensory learning throughout our good practice with children on a daily basis.
Opportunities are available to develop in every learning area every day. We offer focused learning for the English language with fully qualified Early Years specialists that are native speakers.
The wide varieties of specialized resources enable us to implement this learning and provide inspiration for early years specialists and children. Adults and children work together as a team at Play to Learn.
